Hi, I’m Aaron Custis, the face behind the lens at Aaron Custis Photography.

Based right here in Newport News, Virginia, my journey to professional photography hasn't been a straight line. Following my time serving in the US Army and over a decade navigating the fast-paced corporate world, I decided to lean fully into my true passion: capturing authentic, lasting moments. Photography allows me to combine my natural attention to detail with my love for creative storytelling.

Whether I have my Nikon in hand to capture a milestone or I'm editing a gallery to ensure the colors are absolutely perfect, my goal is always to provide a relaxed, professional, and memorable experience for my clients.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a family man through and through. I share my life with my amazing wife, Mirna, my sons (including my youngest, Mateo, who keeps us constantly on the move!), and our chaotic but lovable pack of four Chihuahuas.

To recharge, you can usually find me out for a run, designing and building custom woodworking projects, catching a game, or simply winding down the evening with a pour of a really great whiskey.
